Basic Research, Education and Development Society (BREAD) was established in 1989 with the purpose of extending assured financial support to brilliant, but very poor students to pursue higher education. However, higher education has been made free by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh to all students whose parental income is less than Rs. 1 lakh p.a. Hence, BREAD Society has turned its attention towards school education.

Mission Statement

• To pick up bright but underprivileged students at the school level and help them to achieve their full potential.
• To create favourable conditions to engage themselves in what they enjoy doing, and where their natural strengths lie so that the inherent human excellence is brought forth for the good of the individual and the society.
• To achieve this mission, muster adequate resources and administer them with dedication, efficiency and transparency.

Education up to high school is virtually free in government and aided schools. The underprivileged families send their children to these schools only. It is this pool of govt. / aided school students that constitute BREAD Society’s target group.

These children can attain their maximum potential through education at nominal cost. Thus, the abundant human resource wealth lying dormant can be unearthed to create a real knowledge based society while bringing in qualitative improvement in their lives.
